A dear Godly friend of mine sumed up the Penn State tragedy in a very simple way. He asked this question, what if the 10 year old boy being molested in the shower had been either the graduate assistant's son, Joe Paterno's son or the AD's son would any of them have done anything different? You KNOW they would have. If I had been the one to see it I don't care how big the attacker was it would have been game on until only one of us was standing or alive. I would not have had to discuss it with my dad about what to do. You see my dad raised me to PROTECT the innocent and I have had to do that a few times in my life. If I had gone to my dad and had done nothing about it personally I would have had to deal with the consquences of my inaction. We MUST value the innocence of our children and protect them from ALL harm by others and the harm we bring to them by NOT being a good example. Turn off your TV's, Ipods, and X-Box's and tune into their lives, love them, hold them and guide them. And if you were to EVER see one child being harmed be willing to give up your life to save theirs.
